Maybe, just maybe cookies represent the front line of soldiers in the American war against good health and freedom. A sleeve of Chips Ahoy, a tightly regimented platoon of navy seals, crumby commandos globally deployed and utilizing a lethal sweetness to inforce US hegemony, to brutalize enemy tastebuds in a blitzkrieg of choc chip shock and awe, winning over hearts, minds and waistlines... that, or I have a propensity for preposterous pontification...

Some scans of a few of the bits of bumf I exhibited at Jenny's excellent Wretched Little Britons show down in Texas back in 2008. (I'm still shamed by the dodgy colour alignment on pooper-man's leg, but these, rather surprisingly, sold after the show and I never actually got around to printing them out again.)Thought I'd pop this up because I recognised the similarities between the dead boy in this and one of the stiffs in the previous post. Clearly that's what my subconscious thinks you look like when you conk out; one arm behind the back like a wine waiter...

Listened to Turbonegro walking home from Toronto yesterday, especially enjoyed "All my Friends are Dead", so I started drawing this when I got home. Finished it today.
Muchos fun, although I wish I planned it out a bit before I started drawing, really define a few specific causes of death and what-not...
Anyway, this is dedicated to Hakon, who I hope is in a stroboscopic dark box fist-pumping the smoke from the air to some noisy-ass techno right now, cricket?

Booshy Life Drawings, two from last week the other four from today. All between 5 and 10 minutes which is shocking really as they're all totally unfinished. I'm gulping back terror, fear, shame and conte dust in anticipation of how hard it's going to be to get back into drawing everyday after my ballslack summer. Thurman was at class today and during the first break he wandered past my little table on his way to wash his hands. He stopped to have a quick look, paused and then said "Well, it's good that you're practising here, now; before school starts."

Drawn last week at the AGO with Maxzilla.
(Subtitle: Farts don't stink in an Art Gallery, Fool.)
Why won't the people sit still, don't they know who I am?
Then, on the way home, a crazy person threatened me with violence and death for drawing on the subway.
He was wearing one of those surgical facemask dealies and a Brian Blessed beard, stank of wee and carried a real "fuck-not" attitude. I piddled a bit and capitulated.
I now understand why people arrange to go in large groups when they subway sketch on a Sunday, like a legion of pale Roman Centurions in nut hugging denim, skizzenblocks like shields in the Testudo formation.
Still, same again next week.
